About the Campground
A quiet base camp for the desert that rewards those who slow down.
Sheep Pass Campground sits along National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms, a community shaped by the Mojave Desert and the nearby Joshua Tree wilderness. The campground offers a mix of shaded tent sites and RV pads with 20- and 50-amp service, each positioned to give you a sense of the surrounding landscape rather than a wall of other campers.
Trails start at the edge of the property. Rock formations, ancient canyon walls, and high desert flora are all within walking distance. In the evening, the lack of light pollution turns the sky into something most people only see in photographs.
Whether you're using this as a staging point for Joshua Tree National Park or as a destination in itself, Sheep Pass is designed for people who want the desert to feel vast — not crowded.
